With upright growth, the foliage is grey/green, turning a wonderful yellow/orange in autumn before fading to buff over winter. In August the linear effect of this switch grass is softened by a haze of fine pink flowers.

INSIGHTS
Panicum 'Northwind' is wonderful in a naturalistic planting scheme, paired with verbenas or tall asters for colour and movement. It can also be grown in a pot as a statement plant. Panicum 'Northwind' is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
