notes

Euphorbia amygdaloides robbiae is a spreading evergreen perennial, part of the spurge family, grown for its early colour. It has a tendency to colonise, but is popular for its rosettes of oblong leaves from which arise very striking displays of lime green bracts. These flowers create great contrast in the spring garden.  Supplied in biodegradable pot made from waste coir and natural latex.

INSIGHTS

Equally at home in a contemporary minimalist or gravel garden, it can be planted in beds and borders as ground cover and its tolerance of shady or poor conditions can be exploited. While easy to grow, it can become invasive. If crushed or cut the stems secrete a milky sap which can cause great irritation, so gloves are recommended.
