Features

notes

A native English variety of holly, Alaska offers everything you want from this festive plant – glossy green spiky leaves, a scattering of tiny, rather insignificant, white flowers in early summer, which then morph into show-stopping clusters of bright red berries in winter, just when you need a burst of colour.

Insights

Great for hedging or topiary, this globe shape awards great sculptural interest, whether positioned near a front door or within the garden. This is a female cultivar, which, although it is self-fertile, will benefit from having a male holly nearby to produce reliable and numerous berries.
