This is variety of Martagon lily boasts small, downward facing, scented flowers, with reflexed, heavily spotted orange and yellow petals. Thriving in partial shade, this lily works well in a woodland setting.

Planting
  • Well drained, light soil

Care
  • Try to keep the base of the plant in the shade
  • Deadhead the blooms and cut back dead, hollow stems in late autumn (allow stems to die naturally first to allow bulb to store energy for next year)
  • Can take a while to establish
  • Bulbs can be left in the ground for next year - but do not like wet feet (if planted in a container, tilt it over winter to avoid water congestion)
