The ‘Blue Star’ is a creeping, evergreen fern with arching pinnate fronds. These sturdy fronds curl into non-conforming straps, spilling from the plant in a delightfully tangled manner. Its varying green tones radiate a sense that it has been plucked from an ethereal forest.

Native to the tropical rainforest of South America, the Blue Star Fern is an epiphyte, meaning it attaches itself to, and grows, on trees. Often found in the canopy of rainforests in addition to the lower levels, meaning that the fern likes a warm, humid environment out of direct sunlight.

Plant Care

This plant enjoys low to moderate light conditions, therefore ideal for settings which struggle to inhabit much sunlight. Keep the soil moist (but not waterlogged) at all times, placing it in a humid bathroom or kitchen in order to achieve optimum growth.
