Insights
Having spent the many years prior as a consultant winemaker, João Portugal Ramos first planted his own vines in Alentejo, Portugal in 1989. With soils derived from schist and clay-limestone, along with a climate of favourable, continental influence, the heart of the Upper Alentejo offers ideal conditions for an exceptional wine culture.
