Also known as the Roman Red Sage, this salvia is one of the larger varieties of salvia, its bright red tubular flowers forming a real accent in the back of the border. A semi woody perennial, its blooms make excellent cut flowers and have the benefit of attracting bees and other pollinators, improving the biodiversity of the garden. It is tender so will need protection over winter.
