notes

Edmond Xavier Kapp’s Still Life of Vases of Flowers on a WhatNot (1954) is a refined oil on canvas composition. The arrangement features a duo of vases filled with vibrant blooms, placed on a tiered whatnot shelf. Kapp’s precise brushwork and balanced palette lend the piece a sense of harmony and elegance, and would complement a formal sitting room or a hallway.
