Edmond Xavier Kapp (1890–1978) was a British painter and caricaturist known for his depictions of prominent figures of his time. Born in London to a German-Jewish family, he studied at Christ's College, Cambridge, and furthered his education in Paris and Rome. Kapp served as an official war artist during World War II, producing notable works such as the Life under London series. His art is held in esteemed collections, including the National Portrait Gallery, the Imperial War Museum, and the Fitzwilliam Museum. In his later years, Kapp embraced abstract painting, showcasing his versatility and evolution as an artist.
