notes

Acting as a celebration of French village life, this insider's tour showcases 44 of the country’s hidden treasures, representative of every region of France- mountains to valleys, windswept coastline to verdant meadows. From a medieval fortress in Lavardin to a fresh langoustine dinner in the Corsican village of Piana, Stéphane Bern explains what makes these sites so appealing- whether it is for historical interest, natural wonders, cultural traditions or gastronomic specialities.
