notes
An iconic woodland flower, our wild British bluebell Hyacinthoides non-scripta is a wonderful and distinctive plant that produces masses of rich blue, nodding, bell-like blooms on swaying stems in late spring.
Insights

A classic plant for a semi shaded area or for naturalising under trees. Bluebells enjoy a moist soil and will quickly produce large clumps if allowed to set seed. To keep the numbers down in herbaceous borders it is advisable to remove the faded flower spikes. These bulbs are from cultivated crops, not taken from the wild.
