A taller bush variety of snap pea, Nairobi produces a large yield of sweet, crunchy, stringless pods that bear a high tolerance to powdery mildew.

Details
  • May need some support with canes and netting 
  • Harvest July - September
Planting
  • Sow direct into the ground from April onwards
  • 5cm deep, 5cm apart
  • In rows 60cm apart
  • Prefers a sheltered, sunny spot
  • Protect from mice and slugs
Care
  • Sow small amounts at regular intervals to ensure a continuous supply of peas throughout the season
  • Pick whilst pods still snap easily, add to stir fries or eat raw in a salad.
