The plantain lily looks great in a border but will also perform well as a specimen in a container. Hostas are woodland plants and, as such, thrive in a shady spot away from direct sun, sheltered away from cold winds, with soil that does not dry out. Awarded American Hosta Growers 2000 ‘Hosta of the Year’, and is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
