Features

notes

The semi evergreen perennial, Persicaria Purple Fantasy, is grown mainly for its interesting foliage – the triangular leaves, which emerge purple in spring, turn green with purple markings and reveal a pink underside. The spreading knotweed bears tiny pink or white pompoms on slim stems in summer.

Insights

A tough, vigorous plant, Purple Fantasy is great as groundcover, smothering weeds and filling in gaps with its colourful foliage, but it can get a bit carried away, so site carefully.
