Sambucus nigra Laced Up, 3L
A lovely ornamental form of native Elderberry, Sambucus nigra Laced Up is a wonderfully robust shrub, with very attractive, finely divided purple-black foliage. It bears superb, compound heads of tiny, light pink, lemon scented blooms in late spring. A more compact form than other Elderberries, Laced Up has a columnar habit and makes a wonderful screening plant, or works well as a pair in more formal planting.

A more compact form than other Elderberries, Laced Up has a columnar habit and makes a wonderful screening plant, or works well as a pair in more formal planting.
With attractive foliage that adds movement when caught in a breeze, it is ideal for the back of a border where its dark tones complement brighter coloured plants, or in front of a light-coloured wall or fence. Ideally position in full sun to deepen the foliage colour.

- Due to the robust nature of this shrub, it can be hard pruned to avoid woody growth.
