An ingenious, patented tool for splitting firewood into kindling without using an axe, this Kindling Cracker King is ideal for use with a wood burning stove, pizza oven or fire pit. The clever design is quick and easy to use and features a hidden blade to ensure maximum safety. The log is placed in the ring where its sits unsupported and is struck with a hammer or mallet, splitting neatly. Almost twice as big as the original cracker, King can split logs that are longer and wider. Mallet and wood not included.

Insights
The kindling cracker was designed by New Zealander Ayla Hutchinson as a science project (aged thirteen years old), after her mother hurt her hand using an axe to chop wood. Made from one solid piece of high-quality cast iron, it should last for generations to come.
