Features

notes
The beautifully shaped leaves of this small Hosta August Moon end in a pronounced point and boast a marvellously quilted surface along the lines of the veins. The colour of the foliage is an eye-catching blue, a perfect foil for the summer flowers which hang like elongated purple bells from strong stems. Hostas are particularly good at introducing drama in a shady corner.
Insights

Hostas are native to the far east but were introduced to Europe in the 1800s and became instantly popular. They are spectacular when planted alongside other shade loving plants such as heuchera, dicentra or ferns.
