Known as Silver Hedgehog Holly, Ilex aquifolium Ferox Argentea is an attractively variegated variety of our native Holly with extremely prickly spines on the leaves and leaf margins. This holly can be cultivated as a small tree or clipped hard to form a dense shrub or hedge. A recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.

Highly decorative, this robust, evergreen shrub produces pink-tinted new growth and tiny white flowers in May. (Autumn berries only appear on the female plant).
