notes

The evergreen shrub, Lavender x intermedia 'Grosso' bears long stems of very fragrant violet flowers in summer, which are excellent for drying. The hardy English lavender hybrid makes a wonderful informal hedge or can be clipped for a more formal shape. These flowers attract bees and other pollinators and can be used, alongside its leaves, to flavour biscuits, stews and soups.
