The evergreen shrub, Lavender x intermedia 'Grosso' bears long stems of very fragrant violet flowers in summer, which are excellent for drying. INSIGHTS
For centuries Lavandula has been grown for its sweet aroma, picked just as the flowers come into bloom, they can be dried and used to flavour baking or sewn into muslin bags to scent clothes and the linen cupboard.
