notes

Vera is a small, evergreen lavender, a cross between the English and Portuguese herb. With slender, aromatic, silvery-grey leaves, in high summer it produces long spikes of dusky pale to dark purple flowers.

Insights

For centuries Lavandula has been grown for its sweet aroma, picked just as the flowers come into bloom, they can be dried and used to flavour baking or sewn into muslin bags to scent clothes and the linen cupboard.
