- Sow: March - May
- Flowers: June - October
- Annual
- Soil: Well‑drained, fertile soil
- Aspect: Full sun
- Indoors: Sow seeds thinly in trays of seed compost, covering lightly. Keep compost moist and warm (around 15–20 °C) until germination.
- Outdoors: Direct sow or transplant once frost has passed, spacing plants about 30 cm (12″) apart.
Keep soil evenly moist while plants establish, and water during dry spells. Once flowering begins, Pygmy Torch typically flourishes with minimal fuss; removing faded stems isn’t essential but can keep the display tidier. It is generally low‑maintenance and well suited to beds, borders and containers.
