A dwarf mountain pine, Mops is slow growing so suitable for a rock or gravel garden. It bears green needle-like leaves on thick branches (turning yellow in winter), with brown female cones and a rounded form. Native to the Alps and Pyrenees, this is a resilient plant, both drought and salt tolerant and can cope with sub-zero freezing conditions.
