Features

notes

This creeping, evergreen 'Bugle’ is an ideal groundcover, particularly in moist woodland areas. The foliage consists of very dark, almost black, glossy leaves, which become darker in lighter or colder conditions. The deep blue flowers emerge in spring, held on short stems, and attract bees and other pollinators.

INSIGHTS

The ‘reptans’ part of the name means creeping, so position somewhere that you are happy to let it form a carpet of foliage, such as path edging, softening a container or under trees.
