Insights
In 2016 the Royal Agricultural University Farms acquired a picturesque six-acre vineyard at Down Ampney in the Cotswold hills near Cirencester. Here, the sunny south-facing slopes bear various vines, including Ortega, Bacchus, Chardonnay, and Seyval Blanc. The yield from these vines goes on to produce award winning wine, with each student given the opportunity to gain valuable first-hand experience of the wine production process, from grape to bottle.
