notes

Silver Ware by Diane Urwin is a refined acrylic on canvas showcasing a trio of polished vessels alongside two ripe apricots. The composition balances the cool gleam of silver against a rich, dark background, with subtle teal undertones adding depth and elegance. Classical in tone yet contemporary in execution, this still life would suit traditional dining rooms or libraries, where its quiet opulence can complement rich woods and dark furnishings.

Diane Urwin has won various awards for her watercolours, but she approaches her still life compositions in acrylic paint, painstakingly applied in multiple layers to achieve a highly realistic and polished finish reminiscent of that achieved by the European Old Masters.
