Features

notes

Featuring bright, magenta pink flowers, Geranium sanguineum Max Frei is a low, mound-forming herbaceous perennial. It is the ideal cranesbill for edging borders in informal or cottage gardens, and works well as bushy, massed ground cover. The glossy green, deeply lobed leaves often turn bronze in autumn.

Insights

Geraniums were brought to Europe from Africa in the late 17th century and gained popularity in the Victorian era when their leaves were used to fragrance finger bowls.
