- Spacing: Sow thinly at 2 cm deep; transplant seedlings to 60 cm (24″) between rows once 15 cm tall.
Start seeds in trays or drills in early spring. Harden off seedlings before planting out in late spring. Water well during dry spells and earth up lightly around stems to help support tall plants. Harvest firm, compact sprouts from the base up as the season progresses.
