Miscanthus Ferner Osten is a deciduous, clump-forming grass featuring long, arching leaves which mature into a warm orange in the autumn. In high summer superb panicles of flowers are held high above the mounds of foliage, which take on a beautiful silvery pink as they age. These elegant seed heads will last from August well into the winter, adding movement to the border.

This showy ornamental grass can be planted to great effect in a variety of locations, from large coastal planting schemes to Prairie Planting areas in smaller gardens. Ferner Osten is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.
