The Pheasant's Eye species daffodi (aka Narcissus poeticus var. recurvus) is an old variety that naturalises very well in grass or borders. It is robust and late flowering, often lasting well into May. It has single, pure white star-shaped blooms with slightly recurved petals and a tiny yellow corona rimmed dramatically with a red frill. The herbaceous foliage is narrow and channelled.
