The vigorous perennial, Nepeta Six Hills Giant is a reliable form of the humble catmint, with aromatic silvery green foliage, and, from mid-summer, spikes of small, violet flowers. Forming a low dense mound in the border, or edging a pathway, it makes a great alternative to lavender, its flowers also a magnet for bees. Cats are partial to catmint – so, to stop them from rolling and flattening your plant, insert sticks in the centre! Nepeta Six Hills Giant is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
