Flowering Time: April–May (mid-spring)
- Soil: Rich, well-drained loam
- Aspect: Full sun to partial shade
- Planting Time & Depth: Plant in autumn (Sept–Nov), about 10–15 cm deep and 10 cm apart; bulbs may naturalise if undisturbed
- Protect from excessive wet and strong winds
- Bulbs are toxic to pets or humans if ingested and may cause skin allergy
- Deadhead as flowers fade but allow leaves to die back naturally
