Our Food Buyer's Favourite Summer Picks
Summer encourages us to slow down, gather around the table and savour the season. With freshness and a focus on quality and flavour on everyone’s minds, we asked Antony, our Food Hall Manager and Buyer, to share his favourite ingredients and finds for the month - bringing a little excitement (and plenty of flavour) to the summer season…
We believe some of the finest cooking begins with exceptional ingredients and a light touch, and so Perché Ci Credo is a brand we’ve quickly come to appreciate. Inspired by the culinary traditions of Salento in southern Italy, its sauces celebrate recipes that have been shaped by generations of home cooking, where simple ingredients are allowed to speak for themselves and capture the authentic flavours of the region.
Created to offer a refreshing take on the traditional aperitif, we love how Pomelle combines the delicate floral notes of hand-picked elderflowers with the bright citrus character of grapefruit. Gently bittersweet and wonderfully balanced, it draws inspiration from Swedish craftsmanship while embracing the vibrant, contemporary spirit of Los Angeles. It also makes a wonderful gift for weddings, housewarmings and other special occasions.
What began as a coffee shop operating from the side of a motorcycle has grown into Ride & Grind, a brand with a passion for exceptional coffee and the stories behind every cup.
Their philosophy is rooted in doing things differently and following what they love with unmistakable character, and just as memorable as the coffee itself, the beautifully illustrated tins are full of personality.
Created by a former private chef with a lifelong passion for homemade dressings, All Dressed Uptransform’s everyday ingredients into something rather special. Free from refined sugar, gluten, nuts and palm oil, each dressing is thoughtfully crafted to bring bold, balanced flavour to even the simplest of meals.
From vibrant, umami-rich dressings for noodle salads, grain bowls and slaws to versatile classics you'll reach for time and again, there's a bottle for every occasion.

The clue is in the name. These ‘Hot Dawg as Hell’ cucumber spears are packed with bold flavour, infused with fiery red chillies, garlic, dill, mustard and black pepper for a satisfyingly spicy kick. Perfectly sliced for hot dogs, they're just as delicious tucked into burgers, tossed through salads, or stirred into Bloody Marys.
A longstanding favourite of ours, this Apple & Chilli Jelly has a habit of flying off the shelves almost as quickly as we can restock it. Made with just three simple ingredients, it strikes the perfect balance of sweetness and gentle warmth, transforming everything from roasted meats to sandwiches and cheeseboards.
A true kitchen staple, and a particular favourite of our founders and buyers.
If you're always curious to discover something new, Kolsvart's liquorice is well worth a try. Crafted with simple, natural ingredients, these raspberry-flavoured sweets offer a wonderfully fresh take on traditional liquorice. Shaped like Arctic char, their distinctive form is inspired by the fish's striking red colouring.
