Burford's Bulb Weekend: A Celebration of Spring Flowering Bulbs

Our beloved Bulb Market transforms each year into the ultimate gardener's sweet shop. Old fashioned wooden crates line up as far as the eye can see, brimming with over 400 varieties of bulbs. From Tulips, to Crocuses, Narcissi, Irises and more, our passion to find the most prized blooms to household favourites makes for the bulb lover's ultimate playground. This year we will start celebrations in the wake of the Autumn Equinox with a day devoted to all things bulbs!

Ready yourself with any burning questions as we are joined by Arthur Parkinson from 12pm on Saturday 26th September. Free and open to all, with no need to book, Arthur will be running a demonstration on paperwhite planting and staking, join us to learn all things bulb planting, with a few extra helpful tips and tricks on how to deter squirrels, using birch branches as woven supports and how different bulbs work together from late winter into late spring.

Our expert team will also be on hand with an abundance of advice and help on the day to help you on your way, whether you're completely new to bulbs, or an experienced grower.

Whether you’re wandering through our bulb market or admiring displays of freshly planted containers, potter along at your own pace to the sound of live music, with our musicians playing throughout the weekend.
