Catmint is thought to have been first cultivated in the Roman town of Nepeti (otherwise known as Nepeta) where it was used as a herbal tea and insect repellent. It's delicious used sparingly in salads and warm soothing teas. Cats often find the scent irresistible, as do butterflies and bees. Nepeta Six Hills Giant is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence. A wonderful long flowering burst of colour for the garden.
