notes

The witch hazel, Hamamelis x intermedia Ruby Glow, is an upright, deciduous shrub, notable for its softly fragrant flowers in winter. Foliage starts as green, before darkening and turning a fiery orange and red before falling. Spider-like flowers then appear at the end of the bare branches, tinted with coppery red, adding interest when so little else is flowering in the garden.

INSIGHTS

Slow growing, the shrub has a marvellous vase shape, making it a great specimen for the winter garden or woodland border.
