Features

notes

This Chinese plumbago, Ceratostigma willmottianum Forest Blue is a deciduous shrub notable for its clusters of pretty, cobalt blue flowers in late summer and autumn, at a time when most other flowers have finished flowering. With a bushy habit, the foliage turns red in autumn, adding interest to the garden. It is also known, rather strangely, as Lice.

Insights

Position it in the front of a sunny, sheltered border, or add to a container on the terrace for a pop of colour. Ceratostigma willmottianum Forest Blue is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
