Features

notes

A pure white sport of the David Austin pink English rose, ‘The Mayflower’, Rosa Susan Williams-Ellis (Ausquirk) is a beautiful form of the classic Old Rose, with clusters of startling white rosette flowers carrying a medium, old rose scent. The repeat flowering shrub rose is also remarkably disease tolerant, winter hardy and easy to grow. Image courtesy of David Austin Roses.

Please note, our roses are available to purchase all year round, so depending on the time of year your rose may either arrive in bloom or have been pruned or deadheaded appropriately for the season.

Insights

Susan Williams-Ellis was a designer who, together with her husband Euan Cooper-Willis, founded Portmeirion Pottery. Susan was a great enthusiast of the English Roses and painted some beautiful watercolours of them.
